Blackheath

– a triangular plot with large deck and bespoke, triangular bike workshop. Our client wanted a fun garden for the kids (we initially considered a Telly-Tubby style mound) that could be used for entertaining friends too. The triangular plot was squared off somewhat by building a triangular timber workshop in the point of the triangle. The glass-fronted summer room hides the extensive bicycle workshop behind.

“Playschool” windows peep into the river which runs behind the fence. Raised timber planters add height and divide up the space. Generous steps along the entire length of the deck help join the different surfaces together.
